Big Brothers Big Sisters Alumni are men and women who believe that every child in Canada who needs a mentor has a mentor.

We are committed to the well being of Canada’s children. Through the years we have acted on this belief by serving as Big Brothers, Big Sisters, board members, committee members and employees. We have also participated in Big Brothers Big Sisters as child participants, parents and guardians.

As Big Brothers Big Sisters Alumni, we have observed, first hand, the life changing impact that a caring adult mentor can have on the life of a child. We know that a child with a mentor is more likely to attend school and is far more likely to graduate. Children with adult support are less likely to use drugs, or be involved in violent activity.

As members of Big Brothers Big Sisters Alumni we share a compelling vision. We believe that every child in Canada who needs a mentor has a mentor.

We invite Canadian women and men, who are either currently active or have participated in the past with Big Brothers Big Sisters, to join us in realizing our vision. Alumni can share stories, share community contacts or simply champion the wellbeing of Canada’s children. Through many small acts of kindness and generosity, Big Brothers Big Sisters Alumni will rally co-workers, volunteer in new mentoring programs and, when possible, contribute financially. Together, we will bring about the day when every child in Canada who needs a mentor has a mentor. Canadian girls and boys deserve no less.
